God is gracious.

The LORD, the LORD,
the compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness
Exodus 34:6b niv

This day is dedicated to Hannah whose name means:
God is gracious, and He is!!!

Grace has been translated “unmerited favor”, which it most certainly is, but it seems to be even more… grace is given to us by God in spiritual gifts and transforming power.  God goes beyond showing us mercy by not condemning us, to showing us grace by changing us, equipping us and empowering us.

Prayer:  Lord, thank You for these free gifts that You give us.  Please help me to use them rightly today.

I appreciate how you have not just accepted "unmerited favor" as the definition of grace and that you've wrestled with what grace is for years. Nice job boiling it down to it's essence here too.
